Welcome to Girls Water Polo!
If you’re interested in joining our girls water polo program, you’re in the right place. You have an opportunity to join a program that has been steadily improving and becoming more competitive since 2015. In the 2015-16 season, the Varsity girls team’s goal was to simply win one league game (a feat that had not been accomplished in the previous 5 seasons). In Coach Kyle’s first year, the girls accomplished that feat by winning 2 league games. Since then, the girls have not only made it to CIFSS several times but were also the 2020 Pacific Coast League Champions – the first in Northwood’s history. Then, in the 2023-24 season, the girls upset the #1 ranked team in order to reach their first CIFSS Championship. The turnaround has been amazing and it is all due to the hard work, determination, and dedication of our student-athletes.

Coaches
You will work with some of the most dedicated coaches that are ALL Northwood teachers as well. Coaches Kyle and Isabelle are both NHS water polo student-athlete alums as well. Coach Kyle brings in a wealth of coaching experience that has helped bring stability and competitiveness back into our Northwood Water Polo programs. Click here to learn more about our coaches
Practices
Water Polo is one of the most physically and mentally demanding sports, which requires a lot of discipline, patience, and practice. This means there are a lot of early mornings! Click here for what our pre-season and in-season practice schedule looks like
Results
Your hard work will not go unnoticed. You will have fun seeing both individual and team improvements throughout the season. At the end of the day, it is not about the win – it is about having fun, learning life lessons, and ultimately making lasting memories and friends
